<p>What We Offer The Community Care Cruiser provides no-charge health services to low-income individuals, uninsured community members, and other vulnerable populations, helping advance health equity and improve access to care across our communities. The RN works collaboratively with internal teams and external community partners to deliver preventive care, vaccinations, and health education in a mobile healthcare setting. What You'll Do Provide community-based health assessments, screenings, and basic clinical services. Support preventive care efforts through patient education, healthy lifestyle counseling, and chronic disease management support. Conduct health screenings and ensure proper documentation and follow-up when appropriate. Maintain quality control (QC) for screening equipment and clinical processes. Support the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program, including vaccine handling, storage, administration, and documentation in accordance with program requirements. Maintain accurate vaccine documentation using the North Carolina Immunization Registry (NCIR). Ensure compliance with North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) school immunization schedules and guidelines. Coordinate care and services with internal departments and external community partners to facilitate access to healthcare and community resources. Participate in outreach initiatives to improve access to preventive healthcare services in underserved populations. Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and best practices. Participate in continuing education to maintain competency related to job responsibilities. What We're Looking For Education High School Diploma or GED - Required Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) - Required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Preferred Experience 1 year of relevant nursing experience - Required 1 year of pediatric nursing experience and knowledge of school immunization schedules - Preferred Licensure / Certification Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina - Required Additional Skills Knowledge of vaccine administration and school immunization requirements. Experience using the North Carolina Immunization Registry (NCIR) preferred. Knowledge of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) vaccination schedule. Ability to provide patient education and promote preventive health practices. Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred to support communication with diverse community populations.
