In this role, you will receive ample support, training and education, including knowledge of operating the latest, state-of-the-art processing equipment and sterilization tools and concepts.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works evenings/on-call requirments, 3:00pm-11:30pm.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide safe, efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments and distribution equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide case cart management.</p> </li><li> <p>Understand proper handling of equipment, instrumentation and chemicals.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform preventative maintenance.</p> </li><li> <p>Observe personal protective equipment standards in the decontamination process.</p> </li><li> <p>Scan, sort, inspect and assemble instruments by instrument list and wrap and label as documented in the procedure.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform recordkeeping.</p> </li><li> <p>Build case carts using electronic preference cards and dispatch them to appropriate locations.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma or GED</p> </li><li> <p>Sterile Processing Distribution Certification (e.g., CRCST, CSPDT, CFER, or CER) within 18 months of hire</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>One year of healthcare experience or a similar background in Mechanical/Manufacturing Assembly</p> </li><li> <p>Military experience as a Hospital Corpsmen (HM), Machinery Repairman (MR), Aircraft Maintenance Technician (2A3X3), Biomedical Equipment Specialist (68A), Small Arms Repairer (91F) or similar considered</p> </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
