<p>Job Summary: Ensures that the Gibson Brands, Inc delivers a quality product by inspecting Gibson guitars to established quality levels and standards in a specialized, specific manner requiring guitar playing & set up experience and skills.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluate Form, Fit, Function & Finish of Gibson Instruments. </li><li>Verify Proper Instrument Set Up - String Action, Neck Set, etc. </li><li>Complete Instrument Checklist, Shipping Label, and Photo Generation. </li><li>Scan Instrument into RFID Database System. </li><li>Log defects into Defect Database. </li><li>Problem solve & communicate Instrument Defects to Departmental Team Leads & Supervisors. </li><li>Maintain and clean designated work area. </li><li>Support in any area of Gibson USA that requires assistance. </li><li>Adherence to the Gibson Cardinal Safety Rules as per the Gibson Playbook for Cardinal Safety Rules and General Safety Rules </li><li>Obligation to submit Safety observations for identified hazards using the safety observation QR code </li><li>Support the comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure a safe work environment, maintain compliance with regulations, and improvement of our safety processes </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>3-5 Years Guitar Playing Experience </li><li>Great attention to detail. </li><li>Basic guitar maintenance knowledge - changing strings, string height adjustments, ability to evaluate acceptable instrument playability, structural soundness, cosmetic adequacy etc. </li><li>Ability to adhere to Gibson Internal Quality Specifications & Standards </li><li>Strong teamwork ethic. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan. </li><li>Must be 18 years of age or older. </li><li>Basic computer knowledge - Excel, Word, Web Based Cloud Applications, RFID Scanning. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to stand entire shift and lift guitars throughout the day. </li></ul> <p>The company's Job Descriptions are not intended to be a complete detailed account of all expected/anticipated activities.
