The incumbent will provide day-to-day engineering support to NIWC. The position requires an experienced Specialist to support the project. Travel up 25% CONUS/OCONUS.</p> <p>Work Model: Onsite</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential Duties & Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Detail understanding of US Navy or USCG Command and Control (C2) systems. </li><li>Detail understanding of Navy and USCG Combat System elements and their interfaces. </li><li>Provide installation support for C4ISR system upgrades on Coast Guard Cutters, laboratory and crew training shore facilities. </li><li>Support pre-installation planning, procurement, documentation, site survey and installation drawing development. </li><li>Provide technical input to logistics, configuration management, and engineering documentation. </li><li>Responsible for reviewing technical documentation and provided detailed feedback. </li><li>Experience with working with various Operating Systems to include Linux, Windows, VMWare. </li><li>Maintain and update technical drawings/documentation for different configurations for USCG systems </li><li>Review design for design short falls and create whitepapers or point paper detailing options. </li><li>Troubleshooting hardware and or software related issues in the Laboratory and USCG Assets. </li><li>Reviews Engineering Change Proposal documentation for system changes to the current and future hardware baselines. </li><li>Ground and bond components in cabinets IAW with TEMPEST Spec. </li><li>Create Engineering Change Proposals to update software and hardware baselines. </li><li>Support test events related to the USCG C2 Systems as required. </li><li>Very strong organizational, task management, and prioritization skills, along with the ability to display strong sense of urgency. </li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <p>Mandatory:</p> <ul> <li>U.S. citizen. </li><li>Active DOD TOP Secret security clearance. </li><li>Twenty (20) years of experience of integrating and troubleshooting Military Electronics systems. </li><li>Experience with the Sea Commander System. </li><li>Willing to travel up to 25% CONUS/OCONUS. </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license and reliable. </li><li>Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug test. </li></ul> <p>Reasonable Accommodation:</p> <p>CGS will provide reasonable accommodations, according to applicable state and federal laws, to all qualified individuals with physical or mental disabilities.
