The role will typically average 28 hours per week.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Assistant Cheer Coach will help support and direct the all-girl cheer squad and the co-ed cheer squad under the direction of the Head Cheer Coach.</p> <p>Why You Should Join Our Team</p> <p>Be an integral part of BYU history and our rich tradition of winning. We need someone who strives for excellence in all they do, and who can thrive in a dynamic, challenging, and incredibly rewarding environment.</p> <p>What You'd Be Responsible For</p> <ul> <li>Attending scheduled Cheer Squad practices-assist with Coed and All Girl teams as assigned by the Head Coach (includes but is not limited to choreography and game materials). </li><li>Attending all women's volleyball games, women's basketball games, most home football games, most men's basketball games and other on and off campus appearances as requested by the Head Coach. </li><li>Assembling the monthly Cheer Squad calendar including practices, events, appearances, etc. </li><li>Tracking all tardies and absences each month and submit report to Head Coach. </li><li>Assisting in choreographing and supervising rehearsal of cheer routines, including spotting during stunts. </li></ul> <p>What Qualifies You to Apply?</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma </li><li>2 years cheer experience </li><li>Willingness to uphold and live by the university's Honor Code </li><li>All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend, which may be verified during the application process. </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree </li><li>5 years cheer experience (preferably in coaching as well as participation in intercollegiate cheerleading) </li></ul> <p>Typical Starting Pay: Depends on Experience</p> <p>Required Documents:</p> <p>All Staff positions require a resume.</p> <p>Refer to the Job Posting for any additional required documents.</p> <p>Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.</p> <p>Brigham Young University is an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status.</p> <p>Brigham Young University (BYU) is widely recognized not just for its world-class education, but for its deep commitment to inspired religious values.
