Employee perks include a hybrid/flexible work environment supported by cutting-edge technology, professional development time and expense budget, bonuses, studio initiatives and firmwide affinity groups, and a Justice, Equity, Engagement, Diversity, and Inclusion foundation to everything we do.</p> <p>As a Senior Medical Planner on the Perkins&Will team, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for leading all phases of the design process with a high level of proficiency and expertise while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design. </li><li>Provides master planning, design, and related medical architecture expertise. </li><li>Collaborates with members of the healthcare group to design a project that meets the firm's commitment to design, quality, schedules, client needs, financial budget, and timetable. </li><li>Partners with client in determining goals and objectives of the healthcare facility through a clear programming process. </li><li>Develops healthcare operational volume projections and understands hospital operations. </li><li>Manages production of an architectural program for clients. </li><li>Provides leadership in order to carry out the goals and objectives of the project and communicates with team members in a timely manner. </li><li>Participates in marketing proposals and interviews. </li><li>Executes alternate design solutions for consideration based on client's long-range plan during the master planning and design phases. </li><li>Supports team members with schematic design phase and is responsible for all functional aspects of the proposed solutions. </li><li>Develops room and departmental layouts and assists in the selection of building systems. </li><li>Oversees the inclusion of program requirements during the construction document phase. </li><li>Works directly with senior designer to size and mass the building </li><li>Evaluates existing facilities. </li><li>Manages, develops, and facilitates data collection through interviews, focus groups, end-user surveys, observation, and post occupancy evaluation. </li><li>Reviews work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual. </li><li>Participates and collaborates in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups. </li><li>Demonstrates strong and effective communication and direction which inspires high team performance. </li><li>Mentors staff. </li><li>Coordinates effectively with partners and consultants. </li></ul> <p>High-level Summary of Critical, Baseline Technical Skills and Certifications</p> <p>Proficiencies</p> <ul> <li>BIM </li><li>Building codes </li><li>Site analysis </li><li>Preliminary design studies </li><li>Contract documents </li><li>Field measurements </li><li>Life safety requirements </li><li>Specifications </li><li>Construction contract administration </li><li>Construction Techniques </li><li>LEAN accredited </li><li>OSPHD knowledge (CA specific) </li><li>Certificate of Need (varies by state) </li><li>Functional design </li></ul> <p>Software</p> <ul> <li>Advanced knowledge of 2D/3D production software </li><li>Advanced Revit </li><li>Conceptual modeling tools such as Rhino and Grasshopper </li><li>Microsoft Office / Adobe Suite </li><li>Visualization tools such as Enscape and V Ray </li><li>Presentation tools such as InDesign and Photoshop </li></ul> <p>Licensure/Certifications/Education</p> <ul> <li>Position requires a professional degree in architecture, or related discipline </li><li>Professional architectural license or 25 years of experience in the design profession preferred </li><li>LEED GA within 6 months of hire </li><li>Professional Accreditation in one area of Living Design that interests you: LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Consultant/Designer CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI Living Future Accreditation </li><li>ACHA Accreditation Preferred </li></ul> <p>HOW TO APPLY</p> <ul> <li>Qualified and interested candidates, should apply online.
