<p>Job Description:</p> <p>To view full description and apply, visit: https://carthagetigers.schoolspring.com/</p> <p>Job Title: Machining Instructor</p> <p>Responsible to: Carthage Technical Center Director</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>The applicant must hold a Career Education Certification or meet one of the following qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Verification of a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university and four thousand (4,000) hours of Department-approved, closely related occupational experience obtained within the past ten (10) years; or </li><li>Verification of an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and five thousand (5,000) hours of Department-approved, closely related occupational experience within the past ten (10) years; or </li><li>No degree and verification of six thousand (6,000) hours of Department approved, closely related occupational experience obtained within the past ten (10) years. Applicant must possess and maintain proper Missouri teaching certificate for the area/content to which he or she has been assigned. </li></ul> <p>Applicant must be able to demonstrate the ability to collaborate with colleagues, analyze student data, and make necessary instructional interventions for student growth that are based on data and best practices in education.</p> <p>Primary Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Provide quality career and technical education instruction in the area of computer maintenance, networking, and/or programming. </li><li>Establish and maintain a TSA (technical skills attainment) and IRC (industry recognized skills) needed to be successful in the workplace as directed by DESE. </li><li>Serve as the advisor for Skills USA and provide leadership training and technical contest preparation for students. </li><li>Teaching and/or supervisory skills. </li><li>Plan and implement computer maintenance, networking, and/or programming related projects in conjunction with the CTC Director and Assistant Director. </li></ul> <p>General Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Serve on the advisory committee as an ex-officio member. </li><li>Revision of the course syllabi. </li><li>Responsible for the instruction of students, in both classroom and shop areas as assigned. </li><li>Knowledge of content level. </li><li>Follow district curriculum to meet the needs of the students. </li><li>Plan, design, prepare for and implement a variety of effective teaching techniques in order to successfully meet the educational needs of the students. </li><li>Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere conductive to learning; climate of respect and fairness. </li><li>Assess learning outcomes of students by various methods (testing, observation, portfolios, and other assessments). </li><li>Plan and implement appropriate classroom management strategies. </li><li>Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and community members. </li><li>Utilize technology. </li><li>Meet attendance requirements. </li><li>Engage in ongoing professional growth. </li><li>Keep all appropriate records. </li><li>Attend meetings and assume extra duties assigned by Director. </li><li>Work collaboratively with school staff. </li><li>Maintain standards set by DESE and comply with all state and federal standards for Perkins and various state funding. </li><li>Collaborate with post-secondary partners. </li></ul> <p>You are navigating off of REAP site to the district's posting.</p> <p>OK</p>
