<p>Character of the Job</p> <p>The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail. They will strive to understand the organization as a whole in order to interact effectively with and provide assistance to all levels of the company. Day-to-day activities will be executed with guidance and direction from Accounting Management relative to overall corporate goals and objectives to be achieved. Completed work is reviewed in terms of accuracy, efficiency and timeliness of the function and completion of goals. The exercise of sound accounting principles and good judgment is a must.</p> <p>Principal Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the preparation of financial statements to include assigned schedules, journal entries and accruals. </li><li>Review assigned accounts and journals to ensure all business transactions are recorded. </li><li>Prepare and analyze general ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, identify, report and correct errors timely. </li><li>Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual sales and use tax returns for multiple states and jurisdictions. </li><li>Prepare and issue invoices for applicable business segments. </li><li>Meet processing and reporting deadlines consistently. </li><li>Respond to information requests from management and assist with the annual audit. </li><li>Report to the Controller and work to improve financial processes. </li><li>Assist with other accounting projects as assigned. </li></ul>
