<p>SUBJECT: ROBOTICS AND AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGY - CHAPTER 74 VOCATIONAL ED.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Building Principal</p> <p>ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE: This position is accountable for teaching and supervision of students in Robotics and Automation Technology state frameworks and curriculum disciplines under the direction of the department head.</p> <p>PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)</p> <ol> <li>Responsible for the development and implementation of departmental curriculum objectives and competencies. </li><li>Responsible for the integration of the department's curriculum where appropriate. </li><li>Responsible for assuring equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, religion, national origin, gender identity, marital status, sexual orientation, disability or homelessness. </li><li>Performance of other job-related duties as assigned. </li></ol> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li>Massachusetts teacher's approval (Chapter 74) in Robotics and Automation Technology program or ability to obtain within 1 year. </li><li>Associates Degree </li><li>Four years minimum experience in Engineering/Electromechanical, Instrumentation and Controls, Robotics, and PLC's. Advanced degree may be substituted for one year of working experience. </li><li>Evidence of mastery of a wide variety of teacher competencies and the understanding of instructional techniques. </li><li>Evidence of educational leadership. </li><li>Competent in computer applications (2D & 3D design software). </li><li>Knowledge of OSHA and EPA Regulations. </li><li>SEI Endorsement </li></ol> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li>Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs. </li><li>Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African Language. </li><li>Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition. </li></ol> <p>WORK YEAR: 185 days</p> <p>SALARY: Salary scale shown is based on the candidate meeting the requirements for Vocational Level 1.
