This role offers a hybrid work environment with great benefits.</p> <p>Summary: This role is responsible for overseeing external financial reporting and core accounting functions. The position ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. The individual will play a key role in maintaining effective financial controls and supporting timely, accurate reporting.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the planning, preparation, review, and coordination of quarterly and annual external financial filings </li><li>Oversee daily accounting and reporting activities, including general ledger, expense, and fixed asset accounting </li><li>Manage and develop accounting staff, including work allocation, coaching, and performance oversight </li><li>Establish, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures </li><li>Oversee account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies </li><li>Prepare and analyze financial reports, metrics, and supporting schedules for management </li><li>Review financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP </li><li>Support cost accounting and financial analysis activities as needed </li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements </li><li>Assist with internal control documentation and compliance efforts, including SOX-related activities </li><li>Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field </li><li>CPA required </li><li>8-10 years of progressive accounting experience </li><li>Prior experience managing or supervising accounting professionals </li><li>Strong knowledge of GAAP and external financial reporting requirements </li><li>Experience with general ledger systems and accounting software </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities </li><li>Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel </li></ul>
