<p>This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.</p> <p>VA Careers - Psychologist: https://youtube.com/embed/77qHlLw9Xck</p> <p>Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional</p> <p>DUTIES:</p> <p>The PTSD/SUD Clinical Psychologist (locally called PTSD/SUD Psychologist) is a full-time position assigned to the PTSD Clinical Team (PCT), within Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences at the VA NJ Healthcare System. PCT staff are located at the East Orange Campus, the Lyons Campus, and the Brick CBOC, with PTSD/SUD Psychologists located at East Orange and Lyons.</p> <p>The PTSD/SUD Psychologist provides assessment and concurrent, integrated treatment for veterans dually diagnosed with PTSD and Substance Use Disorders (SUD). This assignment is primarily located within the PTSD Clinical Team, which provides specialized PTSD treatment in an outpatient setting. The Psychologist may also provide assessment and concurrent, integrated treatment for veterans dually diagnosed with PTSD and SUD within the PTSD Residential Rehabilitation Program (PTSD-RRTP). Additionally, the Psychologist may provide consultation and/or clinical support to the Substance Abuse Residential (SA-RRTP) and/or the Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SATP-IOP). Duties include assessment, individual psychotherapy, and group psychotherapy, both in-person and via Telemental Health. This includes the provision of Evidence-Based Therapies as well as traditional psychotherapy, as clinically appropriate.</p> <p>In addition to duties within PTSD Services, the PTSD/SUD Psychologist may serve on Medical Center, Healthcare System, VISN, and/or National VA committees or task forces, as endorsed by supervisors. The Psychologist participates in Psychology privileging, educational, and peer review activities, in accordance with Psychology and medical center policies. They also participate as a non-voting member of the medical staff, in accordance with medical staff by-laws. Furthermore, the Psychologist participates in support of MHBS and Psychology administrative and performance improvement activities, such as taking on assigned projects and serving on committees.</p> <p>Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm</p> <p>EDRP Authorized: Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply for incentive. Learn more</p> <p>Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases</p> <p>Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)</p> <p>Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.</p> <p>Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.</p> <p>Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA</p> <p>Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)</p> <p>Virtual: This is not a virtual position.</p> <p>Functional Statement #:</p>
