Apply for our Director of Cardiac Services role today!</p> <p>Job Summary and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>The Vice President of Cardiovascular Services organizes and directs all strategic and business development related functions and activities (internal and external) within his/her realm of responsibility for Cardiovascular Services at Swedish Medical Center. Their sphere of influence also includes collaboration with leadership for the operations of the Cardiac Cath Lab and Cardiac Diagnostics, working with the programs and physicians involved in Cardiovascular Services, outreach, marketing, community relations, inpatient & outpatient services, various navigation programs, and other services and relationships with external organizations. In collaboration with the Executive Team, Physicians Leaders, establishes goals, objectives and standards of performance; applies and facilitates compliance with operating policies and procedures. Overall responsibility for providing senior strategic and operational leadership for Cardiovascular Services within the context of the facility strategic planning cycle, including the development and execution of plans emphasizing clinical excellence, consistently exceptional customer service, profitable growth, physician recruitment, engagement and alignment. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <p>This position is responsible for the overall coordination of clinical services and the planning of and implementing of new programs, outreach activities, the development of research opportunities, and the coordinating of marketing activities.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develops, monitors and oversees implementation of strategic and business development plans in coordination with senior operations and medical leadership.</p> </li><li> <p>Directs and manages the planning of new programs and/or services.</p> </li><li> <p>Works closely with medical staff members to solicit feedback regarding the program. Solicits new ideas regarding the function, constantly looking to enhance patient and family services.</p> </li><li> <p>Assures that quality services are provided on a timely basis and in a cost effective manner by all departments in service line.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains a customer orientation and demands a customer-focused approach from all who provide services though the service line.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversees the development of quality improvement activities for all appropriate services, including written documentation and reporting of results.</p> </li><li> <p>Development of strategies to market cardiovascular services in a manner that enhances the facility's other managed care efforts.</p> </li><li> <p>Creating synergy to attract payers.</p> </li><li> <p>Represents cardiovascular services to area hospitals, physicians and payers in order to generate referral relationships, coordinate outreach and educational programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops written marketing strategies and methods of evaluating such strategies in conjunction with the facility communication department.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops appropriate outreach programs (e.g. screening clinics, etc.).</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates with physician relations team to work with outreach physicians and other personnel to establish and maintain the program.</p> </li></ul> <p>Program Development: Work with administration and medical leadership to develop a strategic plan to better coordinate delivery of services to facilitate and increase SMC's cardiovascular market share. Program development will include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Based upon newly developed strategic plan, develop a multi-disciplinary care model and financial pro forma.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and implement a marketing plan for Cardiovascular Services. The marketing plan will include advertising, forecasting, social media, regional assessment, specific assessment and plans to increase market share.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to travel for symposiums and educational events.</p> </li><li> <p>Position Requirements:</p> </li><li> <p>Licensure/Certification/Registration:</p> </li></ul> <p>None required</p> <ul> <li>Education: </li></ul> <p>Bachelor's degree required.</p> <ul> <li>Experience: </li></ul> <p>Must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressive hospital leadership experience with at least three (3) years in service line development, business development, physician relations, or related area preferred; multi-site experience preferred</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: </li></ul> <p>Ability to develop a clear, realistic, and actionable vision, as well as provide results-oriented strategic and systems leadership;</p> <p>Ability to effectively and credibly interact with, and influence, external and internal constituencies with sensitivities for relationship and political dynamics;</p> <p>Ability to develop a high performing service line, with teamwork as its hallmark;</p> <p>Demonstrated drive to meet patients', physicians', and employees' needs;</p> <ul> <li> <p>Operations leadership, vision setting, and operations strategy development.</p> </li><li> <p>Exceptional people and relationship building skills.
