<p>Description</p> <p>CCAP Mission Statement - To empower all people and communities, challenged by poverty as well as social and cultural barriers, through advocacy, education, and access to high quality health and human services.</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Provide ongoing technical and accounting support to the Fiscal Department and the CFO.</p> <p>WORK SCHEDULE DEMANDS:</p> <p>This is a full-time, 30-35 hours per week in office position.</p> <p>May be required to work at any CCAP location.</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assist CFO with annual fiscal year end audit and all other audits performed by outside agencies. </li><li>Assists in the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial reports to funding sources and Board of Directors. </li><li>Assists CFO in grant budgeting and preparation of agency-wide budget. </li><li>Maintain files of all reports and back-up material for audit and administrative review. </li><li>Assist with major purchases and quotes based on CCAP's procurement procedures. </li><li>Maintains detailed records of all quotes and budget requirements for projects. </li><li>Maintains fixed assets records. </li><li>Records Month end entries and all health center revenues, receivables, and bad debt. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by the CFO. </li></ul> <p>Specific Accounting Functions</p> <ul> <li>Utilize computer for recording all journal transactions </li><li>Learns program billing procedures </li><li>Assists when necessary, records Payroll costs, Health costs, London health, Accrued payroll, Accounts Receivable, in G/L </li><li>Completes special projects as needed </li><li>Assist Staff Accountant and Accounts Payable as needed. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Departmental / Main Office Functions</p> <ul> <li>Ensures all deadlines are met in processing all assigned accounting duties. </li><li>Ensures accuracy of records </li><li>Communicates well with supervisor and Office Manager regarding workflow, prioritizing of time, and related suggestions and/or problems. </li><li>Participates in Financial Department meetings. </li><li>Works cooperatively with the entire staff </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>AA Finance/Accounting or related experience </li><li>Knowledge of non-profit accounting, particularly audit, purchasing, FQHC experience a plus. </li><li>Provide/maintain all required immunizations and/or vaccinations </li><li>Complete all required background checks </li></ul> <p>SKILLS:</p> <p>Must have excellent writing and oral communication skills.</p> <p>Knowledge of computer spreadsheets</p> <p>Knowledge of office machinery such as personal computers, calculators</p> <p>Organizational skills: ability to prioritize, self-starter.</p> <p>Knowledge of technical accounting functions; payroll, accounting systems Knowledge of human service network</p> <p>PHYSICAL EFFORT / ENVIRONMENT:</p> <p>The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The environment is a clinical business office environment.
