Our customers are at the center of everything we do and we're looking for associates who are passionate about delivering extraordinary care.</p> <p>The Technology Enterprise Solutions, Emerging Tech & Innovation team has an exiting opportunity for Director, Technology Portfolio Leader.</p> <p>In this role you will be:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Handling the intake of demand from multiple sources - clarifying with key stakeholders key aspects of the demand (readiness, fit with priorities, timing, etc); prioritizing and sequencing work for emerging technology and technology innovation</p> </li><li> <p>Making sure we have a good forecast of incoming demand so we can make decisions around staffing and/or prioritization</p> </li><li> <p>Tracking the actuals and forecast for the financials across various funding source relative to our spend and capacity Ensuring we are continuing to build the talent we need to be responsive to demand - what skills are needed now and in future relative to what we have - identify steps to close gaps</p> </li><li> <p>Provide visibility into the portfolio by category of work and the resource allocation across ETIC Maintaining a backlog of experiments (aligned with EIDO) that associates can work for development opportunities and/or down-time.</p> </li><li> <p>Optimized allocation of our resources (based on talent and skill assessment) to top priorities and in response to constantly changing demand throughout the year; Help to find the right fit for resources as time frees up Responsible for effective value-based communications to all stakeholders on the above items Leads the talent management activity at an ETIC level helping to accelerate innovation at scale Ensuring operational metrics are achieved for our portfolio delivery and assets</p> </li><li> <p>Provides resource management for all Hyderabad associates (once they transition from BOTT to FTE) - approx. 5-10 direct reports in near-term</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Description Summary</p> <p>If you're enthusiastic about delivering secure technology solutions to support a company providing extraordinary care to its customers, then Nationwide Technology is the place for you. If that sounds like something you aspire to, we want to hear from you!</p> <p>As the Technology Portfolio Director, you'll be responsible for leading a team of technology professionals who provide project and financial coordination, support, and assistance to Application Product Managers, Delivery Leaders and Business Solution Leaders. Your focus will be on portfolio management, budget performance, forecasting, financial discipline, workforce management and vendor relations.</p> <p>You'll also be responsible for selecting key talent, mentoring, skill development and providing performance coaching to each team member.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Responsible for the build portfolio management, run budget performance and forecasting; including business case outcomes and expenses.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides overall direction to and guidance to strategic and operational activities while ensuring all projects, tasks and activities are aligned with the technology strategy, lean principles and financial standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversees the preparation and maintenance of financial estimates, business cases and data analysis.</p> </li><li> <p>Drives project intake, prioritization, demand management, review of issues, risks and dependencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for applying secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages the designs and preparation of delivery status/health reports, Planview data/reports, value delivery tracking, and manages multiple demand/capacity elements.</p> </li><li> <p>Leads the team responsible for crafting program/portfolio and other financials, analyze variances, and provide financial reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages the preparation of resource capacity aligned with planning roadmap(s),</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for resource allocations and assignments using standard tools. Providing appropriate information to ensure staffing levels are aligned to all demand impacting the area.</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies and drives multiple to complex opportunities to improve processes, automation and inefficiencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for across team communications, account manage with technology executives and provides visibility of business cases/outcomes.</p> </li><li> <p>Leads the talent management activities (performance management, talent acquisition, technical and leadership development) of a team of technology professionals.</p> </li></ul> <p>May perform other responsibilities as assigned.</p> <p>Reporting Relationships: Reports to Technology Leader, Delivery Leader or Business Solution Area Executive.</p> <p>Leads a team of 3-5 direct reports.</p> <p>Typical Skills and Experiences:</p> <p>Education: Undergraduate studies (bachelor's degree preferred) in management information systems, engineering,</p> <p>math, computer science, data analytics or comparable experience and education strongly preferred.</p> <p>License/Certification/Designation: Technology certifications or PMI, SAFE, Agile or Lean designations are</p> <p>encouraged.</p> <p>Experience: Typically, ten or more years of experience in technology or related field and four years of experience in</p> <p>delivery. 3 years leading a team of professionals.</p> <p>Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Ability to make decisions, deal with conflict and make recommendations. Aptitude to influence, establish relationships and set priorities. Excellent communication skills to interact with all levels of associates, senior management and/or vendors.
