<p>History Teacher West Springfield High School</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Meets and instructs assigned classes in the location and at the times designated </li><li>Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity, interests, and abilities of students </li><li>Guides the learning process toward the achievement of established district curriculum goals and communicates clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects </li><li>Designs engaging lessons and utilizes a variety of instructional techniques and media to enhance learning experiences </li><li>Assesses student learning on a regular basis, provides progress reports as required, and communicates with parents or guardians as needed </li><li>Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation </li><li>Collaborates with colleagues to analyze student data, plan curriculum, and ensure meaningful learning experiences for all students </li><li>Participates in professional development opportunities to maintain and improve professional competence </li><li>Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities </li><li>Assists in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution </li><li>Massachusetts D.E.S.E. Certification in History 9-12 required </li><li>SEI Endorsement required </li></ul> <p>Salary: Per Unit A contract (salary range: $53,939.00 - $100,108.00)</p>
