<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Position Available: SY 25-26 (New Staff Orientation 8/20)</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Current and Valid CT Teaching Certification (029/229) </li><li>5 years successful previous teaching experience utilizing learner-centered instructional strategies </li><li>Experience in differentiating instruction, teacher leadership, progress monitoring, assessment and professional learning </li></ul> <p>Reports to: Building Principal; Associate Director of Learning</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist students in achieving mathematics learning objectives and make adjustments based on progress monitoring </li><li>Implement researched-based instructional practices </li><li>Write SMART goals and write and maintain IIP (individualized intervention plans) to identify instructional strategies and interventions to target areas of weaknesses and to improve student achievement </li><li>Develop positive professional relationships with teachers and administrators </li><li>Communicate effectively with students and school staff </li><li>Nurture a collaborative and supportive environment that promotes a growth model for student and teacher learning </li><li>Work with teachers to monitor all student progress and develop Tier 1 intervention strategies as needed </li><li>Complete other tasks as assigned by the Building Principal and the Learner-Centered Specialist </li><li>Review mathematics student achievement data and assist with placing students in appropriate math intervention and support services </li><li>Analyze universal screens, utilize progress monitoring, and conduct diagnostic assessments to ensure intervention programming is targeted and effective </li><li>Consult/collaborate with classroom teachers to develop strategies to assist students who struggle with mathematics </li><li>Teach targeted math intervention to small groups of students using research-based strategies and resources </li><li>Communicate with parents about their child's progress </li><li>Help plan and facilitate professional development for teachers </li><li>Participate in professional development on the math units provided by the district </li><li>Support teachers' in their ability to analyze mathematics assessment data </li><li>Attend PPT Meetings/SAT Meetings/Parent Conferences as appropriate </li><li>Provide training and support for the math tutor as necessary </li><li>Stay current and demonstrate a growth mindset by taking the initiative to read, learn, and grow as a professional </li><li>Serve as a member of the Student Assistance Team </li></ul> <p>How to Apply: Interested applicants must complete an online application by visiting our district website (www.rsd13ct.org).
