As an advisor to management and the vendor base, this role supports key business meetings, providing comprehensive business landscape updates across commodity categories, and representing sourcing in critical initiatives. Key responsibilities include identifying gaps in vendor capabilities, innovation opportunities and delivering year-over-year savings through negotiations, value engineering, and supplier partnerships. This team leverages 80+ vendors worldwide with approximately $1B in spend.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Category Management</p> <ul> <li>Analyze & negotiate vendor quotes for new business and communicate award decision </li><li>Perform category analysis, identify trends in fill/components, share insights and influence Strategy/Value Engineering </li><li>Align with cross-functional teams to understand sourcing requirements and strategies </li><li>Collaborate with partners and vendors to influence design for manufacturability, efficiency & cost </li><li>Determine and support work on vital data elements in business systems </li></ul> <p>Sourcing Execution and Vendor Management</p> <ul> <li>Provide input and influence the identification of new potential vendors </li><li>Lead strategic vendor relationships & strong communication with vendor base to drive execution </li><li>Identify and drive vital vendor capabilities for subcategory that are aligned with business requirements </li><li>Find opportunities for vendor performance improvement and support improvement plan </li><li>Build & maintain documents supporting business related needs and meetings </li><li>Capture information related to RFQ & tooling investments with vendor; submit PAR requests with financial analysis </li><li>Demonstrate understanding of vendors, vendor capabilities, supply chain, industry, competitors & cross functional teams </li><li>Strong relationship within Global Vendor Management team, cross functional partners </li></ul> <p>Key Projects</p> <ul> <li>Drive innovation & determine feasibility as it relates to vendor base strategy, capabilities and developing global sourcing footprint </li><li>Support and implement cost savings and cost increase avoidance strategies to support value engineering initiatives </li><li>Lead initiatives to mitigate tariff cost impact with optimized global sourcing strategies for packaging, components, heaters/holders and accessories </li><li>Optimize ongoing vendor strategy tools, documentation and presentation materials </li><li>Provide feedback to influence vendor scorecard and communicate metrics where vital </li><li>Communicate commodity sourcing and allocations strategies to cross-functional partners and organization leaders </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>5-7 years' work experience in Purchasing, Operations Planning, and/or Strategic Sourcing positions preferred </li><li>Experience in packaging, consumer goods/retail, beauty/personal care preferred </li><li>Sharp business insight and understanding of organizational issues and challenges with the ability to impact the business at all levels </li><li>System and computer proficiency </li><li>Ability to work in a fast paced environment with proven initiative and ability to achieve results while building strong trusted advisor relationships with internal and external partners. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics, and/or Finance </li><li>Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance/Accounting, or a related field or MBA strongly preferred </li></ul> <p>Core Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Lead with Curiosity & Humility </li><li>Build High Performing Teams for Today & Tomorrow </li><li>Influence & Inspire with Vision & Purpose </li><li>Observe, Engage & Connect </li><li>Strive to Achieve Operational Excellence </li><li>Deliver Business Results </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Bath & Body Works associates are the heart of our business.
