We commit to being an anti-ism workplace and embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout our business.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Collaborate with the Strategic Accounts Account Management team to represent the technical and/or creative design process in meetings, presentation, and strategic selling scenarios. Contribute to company-wide peer group meetings focused on trends, project reviews and development of best practices.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Creative Design</p> <ul> <li>In collaboration with Account Management team, identify scope of work and design intent/approach </li><li>Assist Account Management team in developing project design approach and identify furniture solutions for assigned projects </li><li>Create and update design development packages (including multiple product options per area, fabric/finish coordination/selection, lead time sensitivity and budgetary/price point observance) for assigned projects </li><li>Perform onsite architectural field verifications/dimensions and update floor plans (via AutoCAD/Revit) as needed </li><li>Align ancillary furniture specifications and counts to technical design drawings for accuracy and consistency </li><li>Review vendor shop drawings to ensure correct integration within project space and adherence to design intent prior to client review and approval </li><li>Generate thorough, accurate and timely final product specifications (including stated lead times and freight/shipping costs) for proposal creation including final review of specifications to ensure accuracy and adherence to original design intent </li><li>Seek out new trends in workplace design, changes in building codes and product design to be disseminated throughout the Design Department </li></ul> <p>Technical Design</p> <ul> <li>In collaboration with Account Management team, identify scope of work and design intent/approach </li><li>Generate space plans and test fits for furniture layouts </li><li>Provide occupancy and furniture piece counts </li><li>Maintain current AutoCAD/Revit backgrounds and updates as needed </li><li>Application and/or generation of furniture symbols/blocks/families in AutoCAD/Revit </li><li>Identify dimensioned power/signal placement locations on furniture layouts and room types </li><li>Generate numbering plans applying industry standards or customer designated nomenclature </li><li>Generate thorough, accurate and timely final product specifications for proposal creation including final review of specifications to ensure accuracy and adherence to original design intent </li><li>Provide complete drawings and detail furniture plans throughout project life span - from block plan to typical development to installation documents </li><li>Perform onsite architectural field verifications/dimensions and update floor plans (via AutoCAD/Revit) as needed </li></ul> <p>General Performance</p> <ul> <li>Attend internal team and client-facing meetings as needed </li><li>Perform programming sessions throughout project life cycle to obtain relevant client requirements and objectives and relay to teammates </li><li>Contact vendors for product pricing while managing all project-related quotes </li><li>Perform drawing double checks and spec checks of design teammate's output </li><li>Timely and accurate time tracking and documentation of performed tasks </li></ul> <p>Insidesource Core Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Exemplify Insidesource values of Team First, Client Led, Change Makers, Experience Focused. </li><li>Participate in All Company Meetings and Regional Town Halls. </li><li>Embody diversity, equity, and inclusion in our Insider community and business practices. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities</p> <p>None</p> <p>Skills, Knowledge, Experience Required</p> <ul> <li>5+ years interior design and/or furniture dealership experience </li><li>Strong knowledge of ancillary furniture resources </li><li>5+ years furniture space planning experience required </li><li>AutoCAD and proficiency required, and CAP/CAP Worksheets experience preferred </li><li>Proficiency in applications: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Suite, Sketch-Up, SmartSheet, Bluebeam, Google Sheets, Dropbox </li><li>Strong knowledge of interior design field and current practices </li><li>Ability to read and interpret floor plans </li><li>Knowledge and understanding of applicable building codes, ADA regulations, National Electrical Code, etc. </li><li>Strong knowledge of workplace trends (aesthetic, ergonomics, technology integration, workplace culture, etc.) </li><li>Strong working knowledge of Insidesource furniture vendor partners, including features/benefits, pricing, application and assembly, specification options and nomenclature </li><li>Understanding of contract furniture processes, including specification development, order preparation, project management, order management and delivery/installation </li><li>Exceptional oral and written communication skills </li><li>Excellent graphic design capabilities and design eye </li><li>Strong presentation skills and ability to facilitate design development activities with client and client's project team </li><li>Strong attention to detail </li><li>Ability to thrive in fast-paced and collaborative work environment </li><li>Ability to multi-task and manage workload to achieve project deliverable deadlines </li><li>Ability to responsibly interface with: client, client's A&D firm, electrician, client's IT group, etc. </li><li>Ability to responsibly interface with: dealership sales, project management, account coordination, order management and operations/installation groups </li></ul> <p>Acknowledgement</p> <p>This job description is designed to outline the essential job functions and qualifications of this position.
