<p>Job Title: Survey Crew Chief</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Survey Crew Chief is responsible for performing and leading field surveying activities to support construction, mapping, land development, and title-related projects. This role involves researching existing survey records, deeds, maps, and physical evidence to accurately establish locations, elevations, boundaries, and contours. The Survey Crew Chief will play a key role in the continued growth and development of the Survey team.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct extensive fieldwork in a variety of weather conditions and physical environments. </li><li>Research and interpret survey evidence, including deeds, maps, and prior survey records. </li><li>Determine appropriate methods and procedures for establishing or reestablishing survey control. </li><li>Collect precise measurements of points, lines, areas, and elevations using GPS and robotic total stations. </li><li>Maintain accurate field notes, records, and sketches to document and certify work performed. </li><li>Lead and manage daily field operations, including assigning tasks and supervising crew members. </li><li>Ensure proper care, maintenance, and organization of survey equipment and vehicles. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Surveying expertise with GPS and Total Station equipment. </li><li>Experience in construction layout and topography. </li><li>Proficiency in land surveying, land development, and using Civil 3D. </li><li>Minimum of five years of hands-on survey field experience. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and sound analytical and judgment skills. </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Permanent position based out of Farmington Hills, MI.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $78000.00/yr.</p> <p>Overtime pay at time and a half.
