Category Maintenance Close Date Description</p> <p>Full Time Housekeeping Associate</p> <p>Purpose: Actively maintain the store's cleanliness and appearance in accordance with Department of Health standards and appearance levels consistent with goals set by the facilities manager.</p> <p>Status: Full Time, 40 Hours, (Closing shifts, weekend night required)</p> <p>Supervisor: Facilities Manager</p> <p>Starting Rate: $16.50/Hour</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <p>Customer/ Member Service:</p> <p>All shifts</p> <ul> <li>Proactively greet customers and follow 10/4 Rule </li><li>Answer customer questions and/or complaints completely and courteously, or take the questioner to the appropriate person who will provide the answer </li><li>Provide a welcoming atmosphere for member workers </li></ul> <p>General Housekeeping:</p> <p>All shifts</p> <ul> <li>Any other duties as assigned by supervisor/management </li><li>Empty waste receptacles for customer use throughout and outside of the building (including common areas, restrooms, community room, and teaching kitchen) </li><li>Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of floors throughout the building, dust mopping, sweeping, and damp mopping as needed or when requested by departments </li><li>Answer service calls or spill calls when paged in a timely manner. </li><li>Monitor and maintain cleanliness and sanitary condition of all restrooms; including filling all soap containers, paper towel, toilet paper, and toilet seat cover receptacles; wipe all surfaces including mirrors by following the hourly restroom cleaning schedule </li><li>Actively manage trash, recyclables, and compost collection areas - Collect trash, recycling and compost from the common areas, admin suite, teaching kitchen and the café then place in appropriate trash/recycling dumpsters, and compost receptacles </li><li>Monitor waste removal from office spaces beginning at 4:00 PM; include HR; Finance; Marketing, Buyers' and open office areas; conference rooms </li><li>Monitor and manage laundry area; Keep clean laundry organized and accessible and place soiled linen in soiled linen lockers. </li><li>Clean windows throughout the store (store front, café, community room/teaching kitchen, offices) as per department procedures </li><li>Check all floor mats throughout the store for safety and cleanliness and clean when required as per department procedures </li><li>Vacuum all carpeted offices, conference rooms and practitioners' room </li><li>Wipe down freezer and dairy cooler doors. </li><li>Maintain mop sink, mops, and broom heads in clean and orderly condition </li><li>Assist in scheduled cleaning and dusting of cooler tops, light fixtures, and overhead signs throughout the store. </li><li>Complete assigned project/interval cleaning such as deep cleaning of specific areas, overhead lights, chandelier cleaning, and floor maintenance such as burnishing and </li><li>restorative work (based on knowledge and proper training). </li></ul> <p>Floor care:</p> <ul> <li>Use auto scrubber to clean the stores floors. </li><li>Use burnisher to polish floors </li><li>Use slow speed floor machine to scrub floors when needed </li><li>Complete basic maintenance of equipment such as removing and cleaning or replacing squeegee blades, changing the floor pads cleaning the exterior of the machine. </li></ul> <p>Exterior Property maintenance and dumpster area:</p> <p>All Shifts</p> <ul> <li>Monitor, maintain, and clean all outdoor areas including the general grounds, dumpster, and bailer areas. Pick up trash from lawn parking lot and sidewalks. </li><li>Sweep dumpster areas and hose down or power wash soiled areas when needed or upon request from managers. </li><li>Maintain and clean the exterior of the building- Spray/ power wash or wipe down siding and Plexiglas areas as needed or when scheduled or assigned. </li><li>Assist with removal of snow from store's sidewalks and place ice melter on walkways. This will require the use of snowblowers, shovels, and other tools as appropriate. </li><li>Lawn care and grounds maintenance including lawn mowing, </li><li>trimming and raking. </li></ul> <p>Wellness Cleaning:</p> <p>All Shifts</p> <ul> <li>Clean bulk herb/spice counter. Organize bags, twist ties, PLU pencils and paper. </li></ul> <p>Night shift</p> <ul> <li>Wash scoops and replace </li></ul> <p>Bulk Cleaning:</p> <p>All Shifts</p> <ul> <li>Clean bulk tables and scales. Organize bags, twist ties, PLU pencils and paper </li><li>Wipe down bulk oil/honey shelves. Wipe down containers and clean spigots as needed. Clean spill trays. </li><li>Clean lowest shelf and floor beneath granola bins </li><li>Wipe down bulk nut butter area. </li></ul> <p>Night shift</p> <ul> <li>Wash nut butter utensils and replace. </li></ul> <p>Cafe Cleaning:</p> <p>All Shifts</p> <ul> <li>Wipe tables with sanitizing solution </li><li>Sweep and mop floors as needed </li><li>Clean furniture including high chairs and straighten as needed </li><li>Remove trash, recycling, and compost using the trash cart at scheduled times and when needed. </li><li>Wipe down window ledge, clean food from walls and trash can covers. </li><li>Return dirty dishes to kitchen steward </li><li>Notify kitchen steward of supply shortages such as napkins, cutlery and water. </li><li>Straighten community book shelves </li></ul> <p>Miscellaneous Cleaning:</p> <p>Night Shift</p> <ul> <li>Vacuum and roll up mats and set aside for floor cleaner </li><li>Notify Night Manager of potential maintenance problems </li><li>Sweep and mop the Community Room and teaching kitchen. </li><li>Monitor and maintain outdoor café when in use and secure outdoor furniture after 9:00PM </li></ul> <p>Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Open Date 5/30/2025 Position Housekeeping, Associate Position Requirements</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Professional cleaning experience preferred </li><li>Demonstrated reliability in attendance and timeliness </li><li>Ability to follow directions and work independently when necessary </li><li>Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. safely and consistently </li><li>Ability to project friendly, helpful presence to customers while maintaining a professional demeanor </li><li>Ability to follow written and oral directions </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills </li><li>Organized, with attention to details </li><li>Flexibility in scheduling, including willingness to exchange shifts with co-workers, willingness to cover additional shifts if needed. </li></ul> <p>Shift Various Shifts</p>
