<p>RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:</p> <p>Responsible for driving semi truck and trailer responsibly and safely. Responsible for safe, secure</p> <p>transport of materials and loading/unloading as assigned. Meet internal and external customer needs in</p> <p>a professional manner.</p> <p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES:</p> <ol> <li>Drive responsibly and safely, following assigned schedules and complete routes, </li></ol> <p>loading/unloading material as requested.</p> <ol start="2"> <li> <p>Adheres to all DOT, traffic and safety regulations while performing duties.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain professional demeanor and provide courteous customer service to internal and</p> </li></ol> <p>external customers and other contacts.</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Adhere to Goodwill Retail Standards to ensure the highest levels of customer and donor service are </li></ol> <p>maintained.</p> <ol start="5"> <li>Prior to operation, complete and submit a daily vehicle condition report and immediately notify </li></ol> <p>supervisor of repair or maintenance needs.</p> <ol start="6"> <li> <p>Complete other reports/forms as requested in a timely, complete and accurate manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain vehicle interior in clean and orderly fashion and provide for exterior cleaning as</p> </li></ol> <p>assigned.</p> <ol start="8"> <li> <p>Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High school graduate or equivalent. </li><li>Two years' experience driving semi-truck. </li><li>Ability to operate truck, van, pallet jack, freight elevator, truck lift, dock plates as needed. </li><li>Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. </li><li>Driving record acceptable to insurance carrier. </li><li>Valid DOT medical card, as required. </li><li>Additional experience in the trucking industry preferred. </li></ul> <p>CORE COMPETENCIES:</p> <ul> <li>Wear assigned uniform and/or Goodwill identification while on duty. </li><li>Ability to safely operate a semi truck and trailer and other vehicles as assigned. </li><li>Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. </li><li>Ability to communicate with internal and external customers and other contacts in a </li></ul> <p>professional manner.</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of safe working practices and DOT and other rules and regulations </li></ul> <p>pertaining to assigned work environment.</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work varied work schedules and flexible hours. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Full range of motion. </li><li>Ability to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum of 40 pounds. </li><li>Ability to listen and communicate effectively and professionally in verbal and written form. </li><li>Capable of meeting physical demand required for commercial driver's license. </li></ul> <p>When determining placement within the salary range for this position Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago considers education, experience, internal equity, market demands and other qualifying criteria.
