<p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university;</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of four (4) years of successful experience as a classroom teacher;</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of three (3) years of successful secondary experience in a supervisory or administrative role;</p> </li><li> <p>Valid Texas Administrator's/Principal certification</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated leadership ability, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with the needs of high school students</p> </li></ol> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:</p> <p>250 days</p> <p>SALARY/PAYGRADE:</p> <p>$98,297 - IA-7</p> <p>Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Analyze high school district progress monitoring, benchmark scores and other student achievement data. Make recommendations for improvement and monitor resulting action plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with curriculum coordinators to conduct campus visits, problem-solve, respond to data, and build instructional capacity.</p> </li><li> <p>Plan and coordinate professional development regarding curriculum, assessments, data, and policy for campus personnel and district leaders.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with the development and implementation of programs to improve student achievement (e.g., summer school, camps, acceleration programs, interventions, gifted and talented).</p> </li><li> <p>Plan, organize, and facilitate district-wide teacher professional development for all high school courses.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee high school summer school, including planning, communications, training, scheduling, materials, and payroll.</p> </li><li> <p>Update course descriptions and offerings, registration procedures, and placement handbooks.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain Advanced Courses list for exemption.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the high school course catalog in eSchoolPlus; ensure accurate PEIMS reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Set progress report and report card processing dates, in collaboration with Information Services.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate placement testing, pass/fail options, and final exam schedules.</p> </li><li> <p>Update the master schedule handbook, the list of master course numbers, and the</p> </li></ol> <p>grade history file.</p> <ol start="13"> <li> <p>Assist master schedulers/principals in determining staffing needs and provide input to human resources based on students' course requests and current staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate the programs for Title II, Part A, Title I, state compensatory education, and dyslexia funding.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise and support assigned coordinators, conduct goal-setting, and complete evaluations.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement district initiatives, including but not limited to curriculum writing projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Review and approve overnight and out-of-state field trip requests, ensuring that trips meet district policy and regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with student placement and graduation requirement.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with Guidance and Counseling on transcript concerns.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage district NCAA account, including inquiries, course additions, and any other NCAA requests.</p> </li><li> <p>Train campus administrators on graduation committees and alternate graduation processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the development of the district UIL calendar, develop district UIL documents and communicate and train on UIL rules and guidelines</p> </li><li> <p>Establish and maintain the District Assessment Calendar for High School.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in developing or updating policies, processes and regulations related to high school curriculum and instruction.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned by Associate Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction and Accountability and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.</p> </li></ol> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <p>Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:</p> <p>Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress.
