<p>Make a difference every day at Amoskeag Health, where we believe strong healthcare begins with strong human connections!</p> <p>Who You Are:</p> <p>Amoskeag Health is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to ensure the timely completion of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts. You are adaptable and ready to provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Payroll Processing as needed, helping maintain accurate financial records and smooth operations.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Complete journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for the following accounts:</p> </li><li> <p>Cash</p> </li><li> <p>Prepaids</p> </li><li> <p>Fixed Assets</p> </li><li> <p>Payables</p> </li><li> <p>Accrued Expenses</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain fixed asset records and ensure accurate integration with financial software systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Verify cash collections within Athena and complete cash deposits.</p> </li><li> <p>Periodically process payroll and serve as the primary backup. Serve as a backup for Accounts Payable.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>What You'll Bring:</p> </li><li> <p>Associate degree in accounting or finance; or 1-3 years of relevant accounting or financial experience (internship or co-op experience may be considered).</p> </li><li> <p>Working knowledge of GAAP with the ability to apply accounting principles to daily tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with financial software systems preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment preferred.</p> </li></ul>
