<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>12 Hour Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Position Purpose</p> <p>In the Emergency Department (ED) at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering care to emergent and critical patients.</p> <p>What You Will Do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Engage in didactic learning sessions designed to enhance your understanding of Emergency Department (ED) nursing, with a focus on utilizing a state-of-the-art simulation lab.</p> </li><li> <p>Apply critical thinking skills to manage high-acuity and complex patients effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Pursue certification as a trauma nurse, with opportunities for professional growth in a Level 1 Trauma Center</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's degree in Nursing required</p> </li><li> <p>Valid RN license in Connecticut</p> </li><li> <p>The ideal candidate will have one or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Nursing</p> </li><li> <p>BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)</p> </li><li> <p>ACLS and TNCC certification (support available post-hire)</p> </li></ul> <p>Important Consideration:</p> <p>This role is not designed for new graduates or those seeking training through Emergency Room Nursing.
