As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide Sonography services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>(90%) Sonography Imaging</p> <ul> <li>Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure </li><li>Explains and prepares patients for sonography imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imaged </li><li>Performs routine and advanced Sonography imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure </li><li>Adjusts sonography scan parameters correctly and as needed </li><li>Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, to and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS) </li><li>Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including sanitizing equipment, to promote good safety habits for patients and team members </li><li>Maintains the American College of Radiology (ACR) toolkit and accreditation requirements </li></ul> <p>(5%) Sonography Department Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades </li><li>Monitor medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary </li><li>Assist with the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable </li></ul> <p>(5%) Other Duties as Assigned</p> <ul> <li>Completes other tasks and projects as assigned </li></ul> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma, or equivalent </li><li>Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited sonography program, or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) </li><li>Registered American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) sonographer, current and in good standing </li><li>Sonography certification in imaging specialty (AB, BR, ObGyn, etc.) </li><li>Licensed Sonographer in the appropriate state (if applicable) </li><li>Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification </li><li>Must have sufficient training and experience to perform sonography procedures independently </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Certification in ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support) </li><li>OSHA Class I exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens </li><li>Bilingual </li></ul> <p>RAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
