<p>Description</p> <p>RN - Senior Behavioral Health</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <ul> <li>The Senior Behavioral Health Unit is a 15-bed inpatient psychiatric unit that specializes in treating elderly patients with mental illness </li><li>Diagnoses include depression, anxiety, suicide attempts, bipolar and schizophrenia </li><li>You will work directly with a hands-on care team that includes registered nurses and mental health technicians, and the extended care team includes a psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioner, social worker, and recreational therapist. </li><li>The Senior Behavioral Health Registered Nurse provides individualized psychiatric nursing care in a professional, competent, efficient, safe, compassionate, and caring manner </li><li>The RN assesses the patients' needs, plans, implements, and evaluates the delivery of patient car </li><li>This position carries out these responsibilities independently with the guidance of accepted nursing and department practice as well as directed by medical staff </li><li>This position provides the knowledge and skills to meet physician, patient, staff, and/or WRMC needs and performs in accordance with WRMC standards and policies </li><li>The Registered Nurse directs the nursing care activities of paraprofessionals or other nursing team members and provides nursing leadership </li><li>The RN is responsible for assuring patient safety at all times and facilitates effective communication with patients, support personnel and member of the healthcare team </li><li>This position provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice </li></ul> <p>Visit https://www.watertownchamber.com/living-here/ to learn more about the amazing community we support!</p> <p>At Watertown Regional Medical Center, we recognize that our patients deserve qualified, engaged, and competent healthcare professionals.
