<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Directs and coordinates activities of the facility to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of</p> <p>operations and maximize profits.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:</p> <p>? Profit and loss responsibility for the operations of the plant.</p> <p>? Responsible for overall environmental, health and safety performance of the operation.</p> <p>? Manages activities of departments such as operations, manufacturing, engineering,</p> <p>planning, sales, and maintenance to affect operational efficiency.</p> <p>? Guides operations towards continuous improvement of: a safe working environment,</p> <p>Lean quality (reduction of scrap, customer issues), on-time deliveries, and reduction of</p> <p>machine set up timeframes.</p> <p>? Drives employee participation in: following and improving upon safety and following all</p> <p>environmental and health rules and regulations.</p> <p>? Participates in current and long range planning of plant objectives and policies.</p> <p>? Analyzes budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made and</p> <p>allocates operating budget.</p> <p>? Participates in the development of capital expenditure requests.</p> <p>? Dispenses advice, guidance, direction and authorization to carry out major plans and</p> <p>procedures, consistent with established policies and top management approval.</p> <p>? Works with product development, sales and marketing to discern competitiveness of</p> <p>new technologies.</p> <p>? Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating and sales reports</p> <p>to determine changes in programs or operations.</p> <p>? Establishes and maintains an effective system of communications throughout the plant.</p> <p>? Coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees and plans, monitors, and appraises</p> <p>performance.</p> <p>? Reviews operating results of the facility, compares them to established objectives and</p> <p>tasks steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory</p> <p>results.</p> <p>? Achieves financial objectives by preparing the plant budget; scheduling expenditures;</p> <p>analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.</p> <p>? Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing project, operational and</p> <p>personnel policies and procedures. Works with Human Resources to interpret company</p> <p>policies for employees.</p> <p>? Recommends methods to improve and make processes more efficient.</p> <p>1 Rev 03/23/18</p> <p>? Other duties as assigned by manager</p> <p>Qualifications-Education/Experience</p> <p>Required:</p> <p>? Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing or related field</p> <p>? Minimum 5-7 years management experience in manufacturing environment</p> <p>? Strong analytical ability and communication skills</p> <p>? Ability to work well under pressure</p> <p>? Strong leadership capabilities</p> <p>? Proficient Microsoft Office software skills</p> <p>Preferred:</p> <p>? Master's Degree</p> <p>? Fastener experience preferably in the aerospace industry</p> <p>? Experience working with Lean Manufacturing systems</p> <p>? Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training</p> <p>? International experience</p> <p>? Experience using Google for Work</p> <p>Travel Requirements</p> <p>25%</p>
