<p>Job Description</p> <p>Serve as Linux Systems Engineer/Administrator for Vicor's Engineering Department, reporting to Sr. Leadership.</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate with Inter-department EDA and Corporate IS&T </li><li>License Updates and License Management/Monitoring </li><li>Software/Tool Version Updates and efficiency enhancements </li><li>Machine Downtime - Backup and Hardware Replacement </li><li>Virtual Machine Migration </li><li>Cloud Migration </li><li>Legacy Maintenance and Migration </li><li>Network/Remote Desktop Performance Improvements and Monitoring </li><li>Security Updates </li><li>Computer and Storage Assessments </li></ul> <p>Interface both internally and with vendors on bugs, fixes, and other issues and communicate the resolutions to all users.</p> <p>Assess, propose, coordinate, and implement solutions to hardware and software issues, system modifications, system enhancements, and system replacements.</p> <p>Author and maintain user documentation and conduct training as required</p> <p>Work and coordinate with Purchasing on software licenses, maintenance, renewals as well as hardware purchases to support Engineering</p> <p>Education / Qualifications</p> <p>BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science</p> <p>8+ years of relevant experience working in the electronics manufacturing, semiconductor, or related industry experience</p> <p>Experience working in or with Power and/or Circuit Design Groups</p> <p>Strongly Prefer an individual with experience with Cadence Design Tools - both silicon and PCB, ideally using managed environments like Cliosoft (Keysight).</p> <p>Knowledge of other Design tools - Altium, HSPICE, Synopsis, Siemens - highly desired</p> <p>Must Have experience in a Unix/Linux environment and shell scripting</p> <p>Knowledge of SUSE Linux a plus</p> <p>Coding experience in Python, Java and C++</p> <p>Working knowledge of Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems</p> <p>Excellent written and oral communication skills</p> <p>Compensation Data</p> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.</p> <p>Vicor is an EO employer - M/F/Veteran/Disability</p> <p>Salary Range $99,900 - $143,600</p> <p>Please note: This range is based on our current market driven pay structures.
