Our diverse student body hails from Wayland and Boston and is composed of 32% students of color and 68% white students, with 15% of our students having a first language other than English. Join us in our mission to support the diversity of our school community; implement equitable practices for all of our students, staff, and families; create meaningful connections that foster a sense of belonging; and provide an outstanding educational experience for students, staff, and families.</p> <p>Duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Food Service Workers will be under the supervision of the manager of the kitchen </li><li>Food Service Workers will rotate and be knowledgeable in the following: </li></ul> <p>____-Preparing raw and cooked foods</p> <p>____-Preparing and heating foods to be served</p> <p>____-Preparing salads</p> <p>____-Proper serving</p> <p>____-Sandwich making</p> <p>____-Operate all equipment in kitchen</p> <p>____-Know all set-ups required for lunch</p> <p>____-Cashiering - working knowledge of MOSAIC POS</p> <p>____-Sanitation standards</p> <p>____-Assist in all parts of daily clean-up</p> <p>____-Location and use of fire equipment</p> <p>____-Compliance with HACCP Program</p> <p>____-Prepare foods, as needed, for students and staff with allergies or other dietary restrictions</p> <p>____-Knowledge of nutrition standards in the National School Lunch Program</p> <p>____-Knowledge of proper serving sizes</p> <p>____-Knowledge of proper temperatures of food and equipment</p> <p>____-Participation in staff development program as required (4 to 6 hours minimum)</p> <ul> <li>Food Service Workers will be expected to work cooperatively with supervisors, </li></ul> <p>co-workers, students, teachers, and other staff members</p> <p>The responsibilities and duties listed are illustrations of the various types of work performed.
