<p>Description</p> <p>Attention Radiology Technician Assistants - Danbury Hospital - Radiology Team is GROWING!!</p> <p>Part Time - 16 hour Night shift 11pm-7am or 12am-8am, every other weekend. Great learning opportunity.</p> <p>Previous healthcare experience or students pursuing radiology are strongly preferred. This is a union role and pay is based on full years of relevant experience beginning at $17/hour plus shift differential for night shift.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>Assist technologists during procedures in order to expedite the best diagnosis to patient and deliver quality care.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Greets patients, directs patient flow from waiting rooms to exam rooms. Has patient fill out proper forms if applicable.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluates patient prescriptions to ensure proper exam is performed pertaining to individual ailment.</p> </li><li> <p>Orders and completes all cerner functions.</p> </li><li> <p>Changes patient and prepares patient for procedure.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs exam with technologist and offers assistance to patient, technologist, & radiologist throughout entire procedure.</p> </li><li> <p>Retrieves x-rays, medical records, nuclear medicine reports and develops radiographs as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Brings films to radiologist to evaluate.</p> </li><li> <p>Cleans exam room following procedures and restocks used materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT</p> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Required:</p> <p>Minimum Experience: zero to six months</p> <p>Desired: Previous experience in radiological services, knowledge of human anatomy, knowledge of department procedures.</p> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity</p> <p>Occupational: Significant occupational risk</p> <p>Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort.
