We do this by having higher standards, sourcing locally and sustainably, and caring more for the people and communities we serve.</p> <p>The Role</p> <p>The Indirect Procurement Manager for the manufacturing plant is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies for all non-production (indirect) goods and services that support plant operations. This includes managing categories such as Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO), utilities, plant services, facility management, logistics, IT, and professional services. The role plays a crucial part in ensuring plant efficiency, cost control, and compliance with corporate procurement policies while supporting safe, reliable, and sustainable manufacturing processes.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>Indirect Category Strategy & Execution</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement plant-specific sourcing strategies for all indirect spend areas, including: </li><li>MRO supplies (tools, safety equipment, machine parts) </li><li>Facilities services (cleaning, HVAC, pest control, landscaping) </li><li>Utilities (electricity, water, gas) </li><li>Plant capital expenditures (CapEx) purchases (e.g., machinery, installations) </li><li>Contracted services (security, waste disposal, temporary labor) </li><li>IT & Telecom, office supplies, and administrative services </li><li>Collaborate with corporate procurement and category leads to ensure alignment with global sourcing strategies and leverage buying power. </li></ul> <p>Supplier Management & Performance</p> <ul> <li>Source, evaluate, and qualify local and regional suppliers to support the plant's needs. </li><li>Lead supplier negotiations, contract development, and implementation. </li><li>Monitor supplier performance using KPIs (e.g., delivery reliability, cost, quality, safety compliance). </li><li>Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply risk, particularly for critical service providers or materials. </li></ul> <p>Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with plant engineering, maintenance, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), operations, and finance to understand requirements and execute purchasing strategies. </li><li>Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to support projects such as plant expansions, maintenance shutdowns, or continuous improvement initiatives. </li><li>Provide procurement guidance and training to plant staff on purchasing policies and systems. </li></ul> <p>Cost Management & Continuous Improvement</p> <ul> <li>Identify cost-saving and cost-avoidance opportunities through strategic sourcing, vendor consolidation, and process improvements. </li><li>Develop Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models and perform spend analysis to drive decision-making. </li><li>Implement lean procurement practices and support plant lean manufacturing goals (5S, TPM, Kaizen). </li></ul> <p>Compliance & Contract Management</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., safety, sustainability). </li><li>Manage all contracts, including service level agreements (SLAs), scope of work (SOW), and change orders. </li><li>Conduct periodic audits and vendor reviews to ensure contract and safety compliance. </li></ul> <p>Technology & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Use ERP and procurement platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa) for sourcing, PO management, and reporting. </li><li>Track and report KPIs, including savings achieved, supplier performance, and sourcing cycle time. </li><li>Provide monthly procurement reports to plant and corporate leadership </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. </li><li>5-8 years of procurement experience, including at least 3 years in indirect procurement in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Strong negotiation and contract management experience. </li><li>Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (SAP preferred). </li><li>Knowledge of MRO supply chains and plant maintenance operations. </li><li>Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project leadership skills. </li></ul> <p>What we Offer</p> <ul> <li>The expected compensation for this role is $90,332- $106,273 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
