<p>Job Description</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Under general supervision, performs routine CT and general x-ray, in at least one location, across all patient types. Functions competently and safely in the application of the ionizing radiation in accordance with the established professional and departmental standards, policies and procedures, providing patient care in support of routine, urgent, and emergent situations on a 24 hour basis in these two modalities.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:</p> <ul> <li>Executes basic clinical competence in general x-ray and CT, in at least 1 location, across all patient types. Selects accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient. Observes concepts of Image Wisely/Image Gently for dose reduction. Administers contrast according to facility policy. </li><li>Applies knowledge of CT principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation safety and physics, patient positioning, and patient case skills.
