<p>The Position</p> <p>Developmental Specialists provide individual and group clinical, developmental and support services for individuals of all ages who have, or who may be at risk for, developmental delays, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities or related conditions, and social, emotional, and/or behavioral disorders.</p> <p>Under direction, incumbents perform a broad range of duties described in the series concept and may assist in program planning by developing goals and objectives, conducting needs assessments, and collecting and reporting information about the program. This is the journey level in the series.</p> <p>The Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is currently recruiting for a Developmental Specialist 3 in Carson City, Nevada. This recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies as they occur in the following program: Children's Services Quality Assurance within the Autism Treatment Assistance Program (ATAP/QA). This position is part of the ADSD statewide Quality Assurance Unit for Children's Services. This position completes quality assurance activities, conducts program reviews and certification for Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS) and the Autism Treatment Assistance Program (ATAP) and their system partners and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) provider companies. Candidates will be responsible for program observations, data analysis, coaching, training and report writing. High level of communication and professionalism is expected in this position, as candidates work directly with programs and community partners to conduct reviews interfacing with managers, staff and families.
