<p>Mechanical Technician</p> <p>Location: Longmont, CO (onsite)</p> <p>Experience: 3+ years working with mechanical fluid systems in an industrial or commercial setting</p> <p>Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certificates or an associate degree are a plus</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Mechanical Technician will support assembly, integration, and testing activities for next-generation laser and electro-optical systems. This role is hands-on, fast-moving, and ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and thrives in a dynamic engineering environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Manage daily tasks and priorities with moderate supervision to meet project timelines </li><li>Receive, inspect, and organize mechanical and plumbing components </li><li>Install and integrate mechanical cooling systems using both custom and off-the-shelf hardware </li><li>Use hand and power tools to build assemblies from engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs </li><li>Prepare and assemble plumbing components for pressure testing and chiller system operation </li><li>Perform maintenance, reconfiguration, and troubleshooting of fluid systems </li><li>Replace filters, pumps, fittings, and other components as needed </li><li>Maintain cleanliness standards, including work in clean-room environments </li><li>Support rapid-turn solutions as requirements evolve </li></ul> <p>Required Skills & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship </li><li>Experience with stainless-steel tube bending and quick-disconnect tubing assemblies (highly preferred) </li><li>Familiarity with NPT, BSPP, compression fittings, and o-ring seals for water or gas systems </li><li>Experience with chillers, pumps, and industrial filtration systems (highly desired) </li><li>Ability to stay composed and collaborative in a fast-changing, occasionally high-pressure environment </li><li>Comfortable using a wide range of shop tools and mechanical equipment </li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and willingness to develop creative solutions </li><li>Safety-first mindset and understanding of safe mechanical system operation </li><li>Experience with high-power laser systems is a plus </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Longmont, CO.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $44.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
