Check out our Part Time Benefits here</p> <p>Washtenaw Community College (WCC) is seeking part-time ESL Instructors to teach in-person English as a Second Language (ESL) credit courses at our main campus.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:· Establish and maintain a welcoming language learning environment for students of various English levels: high beginning, intermediate, or advanced ESL as appropriate.· Prepare for and instruct assigned course(s) according to course objectives and ESL program goals.· Adhere to master syllabi of ESL courses and assess based on departmentally-developed rubrics and baseline requirements.· Evaluate student progress through regular assessment and give detailed, constructive feedback to student work.· Collaborate with the development and implementation of authentic assessments as appropriate, particularly in the midterm and final exam periods.· Allow time for individual student conferencing as needed.· Participate in the Student Opinion Questionnaire (SOQ) process.· Maintain levels of professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training.· Perform other duties as assigned.Hours/Schedule: Schedules vary according to class schedules. Part time Instructors may teach up to (8) eight contact hours per week or 120 contact hours per semester.
