<p>Position Summary ORLANDO HEALTH ARNOLD PALMER HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN Department: Arnold Palmer Neurology Speciality Practice Status: Full Time Title: Advanced Practice Provider, Neurology Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children has provided compassionate care to the children, teenagers and young adults of Central Florida for more than 25 years. Led by dedicated physicians, advanced practice providers, specialists and caregivers, Arnold Palmer Hospital offers a wide range of advanced pediatric services in an environment built just for kids. The Neuroscience Center at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is seeking a Pediatric Neurology Advanced Practice Provider to join their team within the inpatient clinic as we continue our efforts to offer comprehensive pediatric care, so children can continue progressing, regardless of injury or disorder. The multidisciplinary team includes experts within Pediatric Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuro-Oncology, Neuropsychology, Behavioral Health, Craniofacial Surgery, Neuroradiology, and Rehabilitation. Position Summary: The Pediatric Neurology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works collaboratively with supervising physicians and other APP colleagues to co-manage the pediatric neurological patient, according to established practice guidelines and utilizing evidence-based clinical practice standards. Responsibilities Essential Functions Inpatient responsibilities include but not limited to Daily hospital rounds, Consults, Admissions, Progress Notes and discharge planning including discharge summaries and ensuring proper follow up with the outpatient team. APP must have the ability to cover inpatient rounds with Neurologist within Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric Step-Down, Pediatric Acute Care, Pediatric Ortho/Neuro, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit when needed. Qualifications Education/Training Master's degree or Doctorate degree in Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant Studies. Experience Preferred minimum 2 years' experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Pediatrics. Licensure/Certification Certified Pediatric Primary Care or Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner preferred Current active certification and licensure in the State of Florida as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant.
