<p>Early Learning Instructional Coordinator JobID: 513</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Leadership</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>5/1/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>District</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>POSITION: Early Learning Instructional Coordinator</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Eligible for NJ Supervisor's or Principal's Certificate </li><li>At least five years experience as a successful teacher. </li><li>Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university with an emphasis on educational administration, supervision and curriculum. </li><li>Demonstrated leadership ability in working with students, staff, parents, teachers, administration and the community. </li></ul> <p>PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Early Learning Instructional Coordinator will serve as a key leader in the K-1 building, supporting high-quality instruction, fostering positive student behavior, and strengthening alignment between Pre-K and early elementary learning environments. This individual will coach teachers, lead data-driven instructional planning, and support intervention systems to ensure students are on track socially, emotionally, and academically</p> <p>REPORTS TO: School Principal</p> <p>MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Provide job-embedded coaching and instructional support to K-1 teacher, aligned to school-wide goals and standards.</p> <ul> <li>Facilitate data-driven instructional planning meetings to inform next steps in teaching and learning. </li><li>Model effective early literacy, numeracy, and center-based practices in classrooms. </li><li>Collaborate with teachers to design and refine lessons that meet the developmental needs of young learners. </li><li>Ensure implementation of district approved curriculum </li><li>Support the implementation of proactive behavior systems using developmentally appropriate strategies. </li><li>Provide direct support with behavior interventions, including student observations and behavior planning. </li><li>Build staff capacity in classroom management techniques and responsive classroom strategies. </li><li>Supervise and evaluate instructional personnel assigned to the K-1 building. </li><li>Provide ongoing feedback and development to ensure all staff are contributing to a supportive and rigorous learning environment. </li><li>Serve as a thought partner with the K-5 Principal in addressing staffing, classroom culture, and instructional concerns. </li><li>Serve as the bridge between Pre-K and Kindergarten teams to ensure continuity of instruction, expectations, and support. </li><li>Support alignment of academic and social-emotional learning practices from Pre-K through 1st grade. </li><li>Facilitate professional development that connects early childhood research to classroom practice. </li></ul> <p>OTHER</p> <p>The Supervisor of Literacy and Professional Development shall be responsible for other duties as assigned by the Chief Academic Officer and/or Chief Operations Officer/ Lead Person to ensure the educational growth of the students of LEAP Academy.</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve month contracted position, Salary, hours & work year to be determined by Board in consultation with Chief Academic Officer and/or Chief Operations Officer/ Lead Person.</p> <p>EVALUATION: Annually according to state statute and rule and Board policy.</p> <p>SALARY GRADE/RANGE: 75,000-90,000</p> <p>BENEFITS: Benefits are available to full time employees per Board policy.</p> <p>BOT Approved Date:</p> <p>BOT Review Date:</p>
