<p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The Cardiovascular Perfusionist oversees the operation, maintenance and application of circulation technology applications, providing age-appropriate care to patients of all ages. This includes, but is not limited to, cardiopulmonary bypass, autologous blood recovery/blood conservation, ventricular support, left heart conterpulsation, myocardial preservation, anticoagulation and hematologic monitoring/analysis, physiologic monitoring/analysis, blood gas and chemistry monitoring/analysis, induction of hypothermia/hyperthermia with reversal, hemodilution, hemofiltration, organ preservation, surgical assisting, as well as administration of medications, blood components and anesthetic agents via the extracorporeal circuit and any other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor Degree </li><li>Certified Clinical Perfusionist within one year </li></ul> <p>Desired:</p> <ul> <li>Three years of experience as a Cardiovascular Perfusionist </li><li>Bachelor Degree and certificate of completion from CAAHEP accredited program in circulation technology </li></ul>
