Our school represents many nations of Central and South America, Central Africa, and SouthEast Asia.</p> <p>The mission of Lowell Community Charter Public School is to graduate creative, confident and independent thinkers, global citizens and leaders who give back to their community. We will provide a comprehensive education giving students the knowledge, skills and ways of thinking that ensure their success in high school and preparation for the opportunity to go on to college. The diversity within our students, staff, families and community and the many nations from which we come is a source of strength and an opportunity for learning.</p> <p>Skills and Objectives</p> <ul> <li>Develop a love of and appreciation for music in students from PreK to 8th Grade. </li><li>Learn and apply basic music skills in a variety of ways using a variety of instruments </li><li>Work as a team with your colleagues in the Music and Specialists' Department. </li><li>Demonstrate expertise in classroom management. </li><li>Develop strong relationships with students where they see themselves as learners. </li><li>Provide a learning environment that supports student agency and growth. </li><li>Follow all school guidelines and regulations/procedures. </li><li>Take on additional duties as needed, including supervising students. </li><li>Grow the music program at LCCPS </li><li>Conduct parent and community outreach to support the music and specialist program. </li><li>Prepare and lead students in performances, both in LCCPS and in the community. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university </li><li>MA Department of Education Certification required </li><li>Experience working in an urban setting a plus. </li></ul> <p>The Lowell Community Charter Public School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, age, disability, height, weight or marital status.</p>
