<p>Overview</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician.</p> <p>Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.</p> <p>Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.</p> <p>Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.</p> <p>Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.</p> <p>Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.</p> <p>Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.</p> <p>Completes assigned goals.</p> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Requirements, Preferences and Experience</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Preferred: Associates degree in related field</p> <p>Minimum: Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry.</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Minimum: Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.</p> <p>Licensure, Registration, Certification</p> <p>Minimum: ARRT(R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire. New graduate who will obtain required registry within 120 days of hire. State license as required.</p> <p>Special Skills</p> <p>Preferred: !!</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <p>Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory.
