<p>Title of Position:</p> <p>Summer Jump Start Teachers (Grade 6)</p> <p>This is for rising 6th graders.</p> <p>Work Year:</p> <p>Summer 2026</p> <p>Effective Dates of Employment:</p> <p>July 6, 2026 - July 31, 2026 (Monday - Friday)</p> <p>Multiple teachers needed</p> <p>Location/Time:</p> <p>Whitcomb (rising 6th graders): 7:45am - 1:15pm (includes prep time)</p> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>$5,000 stipend</p> <p>Organizational Relationship or Line of Authority:</p> <p>Reports to the Summer Building Administrator, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning</p> <p>Statement of Duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Plan, prepare for and conduct academic experiences for students enrolled in the program</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain student attendance and submit to Summer Building Administrator at the conclusion of the summer program</p> </li><li> <p>Promote learning and growth of all students providing high-quality instruction, authentic and meaningful student assessments, analyzing student data, using data to improve instruction, continuously provide students with constructive feedback, and continuously refine learning objectives.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains instructional practices that establish high expectations, create a safe and effective learning environment, and demonstrate cultural proficiency.</p> </li><li> <p>Effectively partner with families, caregivers, community members, and organizations to promote learning.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains an ethical, culturally proficient, skilled, and collaborative practice as a professional educator.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates with families.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for other general duties as indicated by the building administrator, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, and policies of the Marlborough School Committee.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Licensed by the Department of Elementary & Secondary Education as a Teacher for appropriate grades taught</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's or higher earned academic degree</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to effectively communicate in Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus but not required</p> </li></ul> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>It is a policy of the Marlborough Public Schools not to discriminate on the basis of race, gender, religion, national origin, color, homelessness, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or disability in its education programs, services, activities or employment practices.</p>
