<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Day Camp Lead will assist the Program Supervisor in administrative and leadership responsibilities, while assisting in the overall implementation and coordination of the day camp program. Must be able to start May 18th.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist with daily administrative tasks and responsibilities including:</p> </li><li> <p>Day camp registration and payments</p> </li><li> <p>Create and disperse camp rosters</p> </li><li> <p>RMS (Registration Management System) imports and exports</p> </li><li> <p>CampDocs database inputs and updates</p> </li><li> <p>Check-in and check-out assistance</p> </li><li> <p>Create and send out camper newsletters and emails to camper families</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with overall camp leadership</p> </li><li> <p>Follow and ensure adherence to Day Camp Policies and Procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Take leadership on field trips when the Program Supervisor is not present</p> </li><li> <p>Handling of all discipline procedures when Program Supervisor is not present</p> </li><li> <p>Bus/van supervision on field trips.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with camper care</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a positive role model to young children and Kroc Camp Staff by demonstrating high standards of personal conduct</p> </li><li> <p>Give direct supervision to a group of children if a day camp counselor is not available</p> </li><li> <p>Making the safety and well-being of all campers while in our care a top priority</p> </li><li> <p>Encourage participation in all activities</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure overall camp safety</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to and report any forms of camper misconduct (bullying, inappropriate behavior, etc.) to the Program Supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to and enforce Safe from Harm policies reporting any violations to the Program Supervisor</p> </li><li> <p>Administer emergency first aid as needed, document emergency situations using incident reports, and inform the Program Supervisor as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Responsibilities:</p> <p>Attend required orientation including successful completion of First Aid/CPR and Safe From Harm training PRIOR TO WORKING WITH CAMPERS</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Be at least 21 years of age. </li><li>1-year prior experience in working with children. </li><li>1-year prior experience in leadership or management role preferred. </li><li>2 years of college education in related field preferred. </li></ul> <p>Free Individual Membership</p> <p>Mission Statement:</p> <p>The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church.
