We are a member of the nationwide Trinity Health family, bringing compassionate care to our communities.</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>Operates hospital motor vehicle(s) in order to complete a variety of pick-up and delivery assignments. Ensures vehicle is maintained in a clean, safe and mechanically sound operating condition.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Receives messages from Dispatcher or Manager to deliver and pick up items in an efficient manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Operates Hospital motor vehicle(s) in order to pick up and deliver a wide variety of items such as checks, mail, packages, letters and so forth.</p> </li><li> <p>Drives SPHS Vehicles ensuring that company vehicles are utilized in a prudent manner, adhering to all motor vehicle statues, laws and regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains SPHS vehicle(s) in good, clean operating order by regularly cleaning the interior and refueling vehicle(s), changing oil according to established maintenance schedule and checking tires and other parts. Notifies Manager of repairs needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Transports patients from Hospital to other Hospitals and/or clinics, as necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Additional duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Requires working with equipment or performing procedures where carelessness would probably result in minor cuts, bruises or muscle pulls.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires working outdoors in all weather conditions.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be 21 years of age.</p> </li><li> <p>Current Driver's licensure required by the State of Massachusetts or State of residence and a good driving record.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience preferred but not mandatory; requires on-the-job training and orientation.</p> </li><li> <p>Work requires the analytical ability to read, understand and respond to written or verbal instructions, add and subtract numbers, and make comparisons between numbers and letters.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires contact with patients visitors and Staff, which involves good inter-personal and customer service skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Work requires lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Work requires ability to reach and grasp objects.
