<p>Description</p> <p>ATTENTION RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGISTS WITH SPECIALTY CERTIFICATION!!</p> <p>The Danbury Hospital is gowing its team of Rad Techs and seeks a PRN Rad Tech3 to join its team. To become a PRN employee of Nuvance/Northwell - Danbury Hospital - Shifts are Evening/Nights 12 hours Variable shifts, 3pm- -12:30am, Two shift per month minimum with one shift a weekend. This is a union role and PRN pay is $45.64 plus shift differentials.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>Takes diagnostic radiographs of patients while maintaining patient safety.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Introduce and greet patient.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for the care and safety of patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Instructs and prepares patient for xray & or fluoroscopic exam.</p> </li><li> <p>Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions, & shields patient accordingly.</p> </li><li> <p>Produce high quality xrays.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with training students and ancillary personnel.</p> </li><li> <p>Interacts professionally with patients and family.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes all work before clocking out and leaving.</p> </li><li> <p>Attends annual hospital review (compliance) and departmental inservices meetings as scheduled.</p> </li><li> <p>Practices medicine and surgical aseptic procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Is proficient in either mammography, operating room or another specialty modality.</p> </li><li> <p>Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT</p> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Required: Continuing education, 24 CEU credits for license.</p> <p>Minimum Experience: one year</p> <p>Desired: Experience with patient care in a radiology setting.
