We work hard to inspire a sense of belonging that continually motivates our teams from the newest to the most tenured employees.</p> </li></ul> <p>Serving up the care and career you crave.</p> <p>WHAT YOU'LL DO</p> <p>The Director of Supply Chain Non-Food is responsible for leading the procurement and supply chain strategy for all non-food items across the restaurant enterprise for Cracker Barrel and Maple Street Biscuit Company. This includes but not limited to packaging, disposables, smallwares, uniforms, various supplies, kitchen equipment, and front-of-house service items such as plates, utensils, and glassware. The role ensures that all locations are consistently supplied with high-quality, cost-effective non-food products. This leader will develop and implement sourcing strategies, manage vendor relationships, and collaborate cross-functionally to support operational excellence and brand standards.</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute the strategic direction for the non-food supply chain, including sourcing, procurement, and inventory management. </li><li>Establish and maintain policies and procedures governing the procurement of non-food items. </li><li>Oversee the design and implementation of systems and reporting tools that monitor and control sourcing, vendor performance, and cost management. </li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Culinary, Facilities, Finance, Legal, and Information Systems to ensure alignment and timely decision-making. </li><li>Lead and develop a team of buyers and supply chain professionals, providing guidance on forecasting, supplier negotiations, and contract management. </li><li>Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements for all non-food products. </li><li>Analyze market trends and conditions to inform purchasing decisions and negotiate competitive contracts. </li><li>Manage vendor selection, RFP processes, and contract negotiations to ensure quality, service, and cost objectives are met. </li><li>Forecast cost trends and inflationary pressures; develop mitigation strategies to protect margins. </li><li>Support capital planning and budgeting for equipment and large-scale non-food purchases. </li></ul> <p>Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to drive efficiency, sustainability, and innovation.</p> <p>WHAT YOU'LL NEED</p> <p>Experience and Education</p> <ul> <li>9+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience, including 5+ years in a managerial or leadership role. </li><li>Experience in restaurant, hospitality, or retail industries preferred. </li><li>Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. </li></ul> <p>Certifications</p> <ul> <li>CPSM, CSCP, or similar supply chain/procurement certifications are a plus. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge and Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong business acumen and understanding of supply chain economics. </li><li>Deep knowledge of contract negotiation, and vendor management. </li><li>Familiarity with equipment lifecycle management and capital procurement. </li><li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. </li><li>Strong leadership and team development capabilities. </li><li>Proficiency in supply chain systems, ERP platforms, and data analytics. </li><li>Ability to analyze complex data and market trends to inform strategic decisions. </li></ul> <p>WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU</p> <ul> <li> <p>Compensation and Bonuses: Competitive Annual Salary | Annual Bonus Opportunities</p> </li><li> <p>Care for Your Well-being: Medical, Rx, Dental and Vision Benefits on Day 1| Life Insurance and Disability Coverage | Paid Vacation/Employee Assistance Program</p> </li><li> <p>Growth and Development: Business Resource Groups | Tuition Reimbursement | Professional Development</p> </li><li> <p>Invest in Your Future: 401k Plan with Company Matching Contributions at 90 days | Employee Stock Purchase Program</p> </li><li> <p>Even More to Look Forward to: 35% Discount on Cracker Barrel Food and Retail items</p> </li></ul> <p>ABOUT US</p> <p>For more than 50 years, we have committed to serving up a sense of warmth and hospitality across hundreds of stores across the country.
