<p>Overview</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles, packages, sterilizes, stores, and distributes supplies, instruments, and equipment dispensed by the department following infection control guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Manages decontamination, sterilization, distribution and storage of supplies, instruments and equipment.</p> <p>Participates in Performance Improvement.</p> <p>Demonstrates Fiscal management.</p> <p>Maintains proper environment of care.</p> <p>Participates in ongoing education.</p> <p>Completes all assigned goals.</p> <p>Specifications</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>Preferred/Desired</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>Successfully passed a nationally accredited central service exam for central service technicians and maintains a certified registered central service technical credential administered by the International Association of healthcare Central Service Material Management or the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution; OR was employed as a central service technician before January 5, 2021; OR obtains certification as listed above not later than 2 years after the date of hire. Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency.
