<p>Nature of Work</p> <p>1 vacancy</p> <p>Kanawha County</p> <p>This position has critical responsibilities and importance as the Lead Worker position within the Office of Shared Administration (OSA) Accounts Payable Division. This role serves as the lead worker, overseeing the review, auditing, and processing of statewide payment documents for the Department of Health (DH), Department of Human Services (DoHS), and Health Facilities (HF).</p> <p>Key Duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Providing guidance and technical assistance to decentralized financial and program staff across DH, DoHS, HF, and OSA. </li><li>Examining documents and transactions to verify calculations, coding, and documentation validity. </li><li>Resolving issues and questions with program and fiscal staff. </li><li>Assisting in policy development, establishing operational and administrative procedures, and training decentralized staff. </li><li>Timely and efficient vendor payment processing is essential to avoid backlogs and potential payment delays. </li></ul> <p>Click The APPLY Link To Apply Online.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Training: Graduation from a standard four-year high school or the equivalent.</p> <p>Experience: Four years of full time or equivalent part time paid bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience.</p> <p>Substitution: Successful completion of college-level accounting courses from an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of three semester hours equals six months experience;</p> <p>OR</p> <p>Successful completion of related business school or vocational training may be substituted for the experience through an established formula.</p>
