<p>Shift Manager</p> <p>REPORTS TO (Title): Assistant General Manager DEPARTMENT: Restaurant Operations</p> <p>STATUS CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt JOB CODE:</p> <p>SUPERVISES: No formal supervisory responsibilities</p> <p>JOB PURPOSE: The Shift Manager provides additional support to the Restaurant Management Team and allows for</p> <p>additional coverage during peak periods, or in the absence of a Manager. This position will assist with management</p> <p>duties (including opening and closing the restaurant) and can also flex to work other hourly restaurant positions. While</p> <p>clocked in as a Shift Manager, the overall focus is general restaurant day to day operations.</p> <p>PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Team</p> <ul> <li>Corrects and coaches performance during a shift. </li><li>Conducts pre and post shift meetings </li><li>Assists other Managers with interviewing, training, development and retention of Team Members </li></ul> <p>Guest</p> <ul> <li>Actively engages with all Guests </li><li>Supports proper execution of the Guest Experience including Food/Beverage, AV/Technology and Community </li></ul> <p>Connection</p> <ul> <li>Ensures steps of service are properly executed </li></ul> <p>Quality Operations</p> <ul> <li>Supervises the operation of the restaurant on a shift-by-shift basis </li><li>Completes all Manager tools on time and with integrity </li><li>Ensures proper food, alcohol and general safety standards are being followed </li><li>Conducts effective figure 8's </li><li>Conducts CVDs and pullbacks during a shift </li></ul> <p>Sales and Profits</p> <ul> <li>Supports execution of all sales building initiatives </li><li>Properly executes loyalty program on all shifts </li><li>Manages labor during a shift </li></ul> <p>OTHER JOB DUTIES AS ASSIGNED</p> <p>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>General knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation, responsible alcohol </li></ul> <p>service, safety and security systems and procedures, computer operations</p> <ul> <li>Good people management skills, communication and listening skills. Must champion change </li><li>Demonstrated time management and organizational skills </li><li>Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and have a passion for teaching others </li><li>Must be able to read and comprehend written materials, write in grammatically correct sentences, and </li></ul> <p>perform basic to intermediate mathematical computations</p> <p>JOB REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>Education: High School or equivalent. </li><li>Meets the minimum state age requirement related to serving alcohol </li><li>Must possess proper food handlers and alcohol dispensing certifications (if required by law) </li><li>Satisfactory background check history </li><li>Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 1 year restaurant experience </li><li>Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Coursework in restaurant management </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <p>The physical demands for this position are sits, stands, bends, and moves intermittently during working hours.
