<p>Looking for a passionate, competent, and personable individual to inspire students.</p> <p>REQUIREMENTS: Applicants applying for the position must have a preliminary or professional Chapter 74 Electronics Vocational Technical Teacher License or fulfill the requirements for the Preliminary License by the end of the 2026-2027 school year.</p> <p>The DESE Electronics Preliminary Vocational Technical Teacher License requirements include: Possession of an Associate's degree, or higher, related to the subject matter and skills to be taught The required associate's degree (or higher) would include at least 18 credits in subject matter related to the technical strand of the Vocational Technical Education Framework in electronics. A person with an associate's (or higher) degree without 18 credits in such subject matter must obtain 18 college credits in order to receive credit toward the licensure requirements for the required associate (or higher) degree related to the subject matter and skills to be taught. Four years of full-time employment experience directly related to Electronics A bachelor's or master's degree may substitute for one of four years of required employment experience, provided that the degree includes subject matter related to the content found in the technical + Integrated Academic Standards of the Vocational Technical Education Framework in Electronics, and/or in vocational education. Achieving a passing score on the written and performance tests in Electronics Achieving a passing score on one of the following: Vocational Technical Literacy Skills Test (VTLST) Communication and Literacy Skills Test. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Plan, organize, and teach a competency-based Chapter 74 Electronics curriculum. Integrate Electronics concepts with academic-related subjects - Experience in industrial automation and robotics is a plus. Develops and maintains an environment conducive to effective learning. Prepare for assigned classes and show written evidence of preparation upon request of the Supervisor. Assists students in setting and maintaining standards of appropriate behavior. Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media to meet the needs of the students. Implements the district's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Evaluates student progress on a continuing basis. Maintains an effective system of monitoring student progress to inform appropriate persons. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation. Enforces school rules, administrative regulations, and board policy. Is available to meet with students and parents for education-related purposes during the instructional day when required or requested to do so. Participates in faculty meetings. Demonstrates professional growth and shall attend all meetings called or approved by the Superintendent, Principal or Supervisor. Participates in the New Teacher Induction/Mentor Program. Cooperates with other members of the staff in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods. Assists in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials. Maintains open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning their educational and behavioral progress. Participates in the evaluation process. Performs other duties as needed.</p>
