<p>Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Finance, the Senior Financial and Risk Analyst provides strategic analysis, business insight, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting analysis. Delivers thorough analysis of existing operations and supports multi-departmental, multi-entity budgeting and reporting requirements. This role analyzes and interprets data, builds financial models, applies budget guidelines, and delivers high customer service through interactions with various departments.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ol> <li> <p>Performs financial and operational analysis to support short-term and long-term strategic plans and operating budgets by applying various mathematical, statistical, and financial analyses to reach conclusions, develop complex financial models, and make recommendations that benefit the enterprise. Collaborates with finance and business users to determine necessary metrics, reports, and analyses, while leading the interpretation and evaluation of research data to generate integrated business analysis and projections for informed decision-making.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with departments to gather and review data for completing Statement of Values and Business Interruption insurance worksheets for brokers, issues and maintains compliance with Certificates of Insurance (COI) for all vendors, and coordinates insurance claims workflow to ensure policy adherence, prompt invoice payments, and reimbursement from carriers. Verifies contracts and invoices align with management approvals during annual insurance renewal and coordinates timely payments between Accounts Payable and brokers/insurance companies.</p> </li><li> <p>Researches, compiles, reviews, and publishes comprehensive reports on SWiG, Responsible Gambling trends, and Macroeconomic data for senior executives, investment teams, and other stakeholders, including weekly email updates and monthly Market Snapshot Dashboards.</p> </li><li> <p>Gathers, transforms, and analyzes data from disparate sources, including confidential internal databases and external publicly available repositories, into coherent and organized information suitable for consumption by senior leaders and stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Mentors and provides guidance in the Finance department, by mentoring and training junior team members.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned to support the e?cient operation of the department.</p> </li></ol> <p>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field required.</p> </li><li> <p>Master's degree in a related field preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum six (6) years of experience wiring in financial planning, analytics, accounting or similar role, where at least one (1) year of experience is working with risk/insurance matters, required.</p> </li><li> <p>Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.</p> </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience working with relational databases.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to develop and deploy complex statistical and financial models.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of research best practices for tracking economic and industry trends and events.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to prepare PowerPoint presentations for Senior Management and Executives.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication skills to effectively interact with executives and vendors.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience leading and mentoring a team, assigning tasks, managing project timelines and team deliverables, and ensuring team goals are met.</p> </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.</p> </li><li> <p>Select One of the Following for Driving Responsibilities: No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver's license or insurance.</p> </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS - ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>The physical demands and working environment described here are representative of those that an employee encounters and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting.</p> </li><li> <p>Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.</p> </li><li> <p>Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.</p> </li><li> <p>Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time.
